My Sisters' Baby Shower

This past weekend my Mom and I threw my very pregnant sister a baby shower. One year ago we held her Wedding Shower...and now we're all waiting for the arrival of her sweet little one. I made her a stack of spit up cloths (because we all know you need a pile...). They have patterned or solid cotton on one side and soft flannel on the other.

We held the shower at my Mom's place and I made a felt moose banner for the fireplace - she can hang it in the babys' room too. I added a selection of Ava's vintage toy cars in the colour scheme.

I cut an outdoor fabric into strips for a runner and added florals. I tucked a Christmas ornament into each arrangement as a wink to December (it was on the 1st).

I put stickers on note cards for people to write messages to the baby. A mini fabric suitcase stored the notes and she can keep it for other mementos like hospital bracelets, etc.

I made mini felt diaper necklaces for each guest to wear as a part of one of the games. After awhile I had everyone remove the diaper pin and open them up - the one with the poopy diaper won a prize. (I glued a chocolate chip into one of the diapers.) We also did a quiz, and Ava won a prize.

It was a great party and my Mom had delicious food plus a chocolate cake that we devoured.
