Our 10th Anniversary: Rosewood Hotel Georgia

After a decade of good times and tough times, and being separated for years 5 & 6 of our marriage, my Husband and I just celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We couldn't think of a more special place to have a night away than at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia.

When we arrived at the Hotel the Front Desk Staff congratulated us on our Anniversary and then we settled into our beautiful room. We had a Deluxe Room
with a view of Georgia Street, a big soaker tub, and a plush velour Art Deco inspired sofa to watch tv. There was also a personalized note welcoming us to the Hotel.

We were so excited to have a mini vacation sans kids, and we took full advantage of our 24 hours of adult time. Immediately my Husband opened our complimentary bottle of Blue Mountain Brut NV and poured us each a glass...it was very nice.
Then we ordered an appy via Room Service...delicious....
I wanted to enjoy the tub before dinner so my Husband ran across the street and picked up some bubble bath and a fashion magazine for me. I was pampered by the Hotel and by him.
Before we went down to dinner, my Husband gave me my gift - a beautiful vintage Art Deco ring that I had asked for.
We dined at Hawksworth Restaurant, and I had the delicious Parmesan Crusted Chicken for dinner....

Then we were brought sweets and a white chocolate message. (I may have taken a selection of some French Macaroons back to our room....)

Before we headed back to our room we stopped in the 1927 Lobby Lounge for a cocktail - it's such a comfy and beautiful spot to lounge - I know I'll have to plan a night out with friends to visit it again.

After a good sleep in our luxurious king bed we ordered breakfast to our room and I had the Rosewood Benedict and fresh squeezed orange juice. We relaxed and took our time getting ready for the day - it was nice to have a noon checkout time. Before we did checkout of the hotel we had a quick tea and a muffin at Bel Cafe.

It was fun to remain in Vancouver and enjoy the International flair that came with the Hotel because of the staff and their various accents. We appreciated that everyone we talked to - from the Reception Desk, to the Room Service Wait Staff & Maid, to our Parisian Waiter at Hawksworth - congratulated us on our Anniversary. It was a nice touch.

I loved the Art Deco details and there was so much to look at throughout the hotel. We enjoyed learning about the history of it and who had stayed there in the past - Old Hollywood Actors & Actresses, Musicians, and British Royalty.
I would like to thank the staff at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia for a wonderful experience.

My Husband and I paid for our stay and meals, but we did receive the Media Rate for our room. All of the opinions expressed in this post are my own.

PS. Thank you Grandma & Grandpa for taking care of the girls for the night so that we could have a night to ourselves.

  1. NICE!!! We've done the couples staycation thing too and it is really relaxing. In fact, we need to do it again really soon. We had an anniversary dinner at Hawksworth last December and enjoyed ourselves! Happy Anniversary to you and your husband!
